Legacy South Australia and Broken Hill is here to help those spouses and children of deceased and medically discharged veterans. Unlike many other ex service organisations, our focus is on spouses and children – helping for your future.

Legacy’s charter is to support the families of veterans, specifically:

Partner and children of a deceased Veteran who served with the Australian or Allied Forces in wars overseas or in a declared operational area;

Partner and children of a deceased Veteran whose death was due to their defence service;

Partner and children of a Veteran who has given their health in service – to the extent that they are no longer able to provide for their family;

Partner of a Veteran who served only within Australia during World War II.

Our Team can provide pathways to solutions for the challenges you face in these areas:

Financial Assistance. Short-term financial assistance or referrals to services for eligible concessions.

Mental Health. Helping to find the solution that best fits your need. We can put you in touch with knowledgeable specialists.

Navigating DVA. Helping you to understand the labyrinth of services and financial compensations available to you.

Home Help. Understanding there is home help that is unique to your set of circumstances; from lawn mowing to home organisation.
